Had our big ultrasound this morning

It was so great to see small fry again! The first ultrasound we had (at seven weeks) was pretty fast so this one was a lot longer than I expected and we saw so many different parts and heard the heartbeat a few times. Our little one was moving around a lot and kicking his or her little feet...so cute! Every time we looked at the face, the mouth was wide open...smiling at us the tech said. My thought is that small fry takes after Addison and is a talker...that just makes me chuckle and puts a smile on my face!

The tech asked us as soon as we walked into the room if we wanted to know the gender and I replied with a "no" and Addison said "can you just tell me?" He's gotten to the point where he really wants to know despite the many conversations we've had about how exciting it will be to wait. Needless to say, we didn't find out the gender although Addison is convinced he saw something. And we both caught the tech referring to a gender at one point. I'm sure this is out of habit and not a slip...I'm not putting any stock into it anyway.

After taking many measurements, the Dr. said everything was measuring right on time and looking good. The heartbeat was 155 beats/minute and small fry weighed in at nine ounces. They gave us some really great pictures:
