There is a baby in my belly!

We had our first ultrasound this morning and everything is looking good. It’s confirmed: there is a baby in my belly! The baby looked like a blurry bean shaped figure. The little one measured at 7 weeks and 1 day which is not quite as far along as we thought. The ultrasound tech said that this would put my due date at January 6th but that it's up to my Doctor to decide whether to move the date back. We heard the heartbeat which in one word was AMAZING. We were also able to see it beating away on the screen…136 beats/minute which is crazy fast but this is a good thing. I have to admit, it brought tears to my eyes...Addison's as well! The tech gave us pictures of the baby and of the heartbeat, looks like we have our first scrap book addition.
